Volunteering and Community

For many years the club has worked closely with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife on warmwater fish projects, including the St. Louis and Hartman ponds and Henry Hagg Lake.
Club members also have volunteered to transplant warmwater fish, improve fish habitats and help at kids fishing events.

OBPC Officers
Meet our dedicated officers, whose wealth of experience and passion for angling drive our club’s mission.

Bruce Woodgate
President
Bruce first joined OBPC in 2016 with the intention of learning how to catch bass at Hagg Lake. After conducting an internet search for “Bass Clubs in my Area,” he discovered the club and promptly joined during his first meeting. Shortly thereafter, he was invited to fish with a long-time club member and successfully caught his first small-mouth bass.
Bruce participated in volunteer service projects and various club activities, forging strong friendships and expanding his knowledge of warm-water fish species throughout Oregon. He has served on the OBPC Board as Secretary and was elected President for the year 2025.

Tim Dittler
Vice President
Tim is a native Oregonian who was born in SE Portland. However, he caught his first largemouth bass in South Florida in the Everglades canals while living there for a year. Tim comes from a family of commercial fisherman and lived on the Oregon Coast fishing salmon, steelhead trout, smallmouth bass and panfish.

Kathy Liddell
